Glasgow's yes dogs

Hello! During Scotland's lead up to the referendum there were peaceful protests and rallies all over, including Catalonia! And Catalans even coming over to Scotland with support and well wishes. Living In Glasgow at this time has been very hopeful and exciting. A time that I will never forget. Finding myself In George Square many nights before the vote - known to many as independence square now due to all peaceful rallies held before Thursday 18th September, I soaked up the atmosphere and took along my camera. A time of wonder, hope and passion just a couple of these photographs show these moments. And what better way to show you than Glasgow's yes dogs and their owners! Even with a fashionable tartan coat or two. Dressed up in their Scotland's freedom finest, I tried to capture the spirit.  And also a few of my favourite photographs I took of the people.

Peace and Love

I am feeling very hippy today! Lots of peace and love to go around. The Autumn sun is glowing and the birds are singing! Show you're bohemian side through your fun loving style! Look what quotes, clothing and treasures I have come across today!

"I'm not going to change the way I look or the way I feel to conform to anything. I've always been a freak. So I've been a freak all my life and I have to live with that, you know. I'm one of those people" - John Lennon

Freaks you say?

Freaks: The term might not be used too much anymore, but yes, Hippies and Hippys and for that matter, Yippies too, are still considered freaks, but perhaps it applies more so to just hippys today.

OH! Come on all you wonderful freaky deaky hippies!

Inspiration

It's been a while. Either moving house threw me and took a fews years off my life or inspiration has been hard to find. Writing shouldn't be hard though unless you are being hard on yourself. I came across a lovely daily inspiration post today on heartibf.com saying simply this;

"I think loosening up and having fun is the rule, not the exception. Forget about trying to stay cool or impressing others and let your hair down. Because those who love and respect you won't care as those who do? Well, they never really mattered that much. Your friends and readers appreciate your realness, your quirkiness, not your ability to remain stoic or ultra posed."

A post that will stay with me for a while a remind me not to be too hard on myself.

It's challenging at the start of something to know if what you are doing is for you or because it's what others would like. Taking some time is sometimes the answer! I love fashion, but sometimes knowing how to put it across is a challenge. All I can say is do as you would like to see yourself . Write for yourself. As well as it being for others it's for your own enjoyment and should never be a chore. I hope to write about more thrift shopping, everyday inspirations, art, home diy (which i'm loving) and importantly eating well and where my skincare has taken me as I have battled acne! And keep my dry sense of humour in there too. Hmm possibly more nutty than dry. Lots to look forward too.
